How to Become a Home Inspector in Virginia

  • Graduate High School.

    You must Earn a High School Diploma (or equivalent).

  • Complete Home Inspector Training.

    You must take 70 hours of education/training.

  • Complete 25 home inspections.

    Must be directly supervised by a Virginia licensed home inspector.

  • Take the NHIE.
