Massachusetts Home Inspector License Requirements

There is a two-step process to become a licensed home inspector. First, you must become an Associate Inspector:

  • Have a high school diploma or GED
  • Complete 75 hours of approved training
  • Pass the NHIE
  • Conduct 25 fee-paid directly supervised inspections
  • Obtain E&O Insurance
  • Been an Associate Inspector for no less than one year
  • Conducted 100 indirectly supervised inspections

How to Become a Home Inspector in Massachusetts

  1. Complete Education.

    You must have a high school diploma or GED.

  2. Complete Home Inspector Training.
