Nevada Home Inspector Training

How to Become a Home Inspector in Nevada

  • Graduate High School.

    You must have a high school diploma or GED.

  • Be the right age.

    You must be 18 years of age or older.

  • Get trained.

    Complete the appropriate amount of approved CLASSROOM education. 40 hours for a residential inspector, 50 hours for a general inspector and 60 hours for a master inspector.

  • Take the Structures Examination.

    Pass the Pass the Inspector of Structures Examination.

  • Observation Requirements.

    Observe 25 inspections performed by a licensed inspector or attend a 25 inspection course.

  • File for Your License.

    File with the Clark County and/or Nevada Secretary of State.

  • Get Liability Insurance.

    Obtain general liability and E&O insurance - Check out our home inspector's insurance page!
